world cup tickets to cost an average of R$380

A recent note from a blog points out at the average price for tickets of the World Cup 2014. According to the text, that average would add up to R$380 (at today’s exchange rate we are talking about USD 216 or EUR 160). The article is based on speculation following recent FIFA statements.

It is interesting as local football fans can ordinarily purchase tickets paying between R$10 and R$40. The loyal Brazilian football supporter is unlikely to make it into the stadiums during the World Cup. The party will have to take place somewhere else. And it will, for sure.
