building the World Cup stadiums: progress report

Local newspaper Folha de São Paulo has just published a report on the progress being made building the World Cup stadiums: Veja como estão as obras nos 12 estádios para a Copa-2014. This is how the newspaper rates progress on all of the 12 stadiums:

  • São Paulo – Itaquerão. Progress: worrying. Percentage completed: 10%.
  • Rio de Janeiro – Maracaná. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 25%.
  • Fortaleza – Castelão. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 38%.
  • Belo Horizonte – Mineirão. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 37%.
  • Brasilia – Estadio Nacional. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 35%.
  • Cuiabá – Arena Pantanal. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 27%.
  • Salvador – Fonte Nova. Progress: good. Percentage completed: 25%.
  • Manaus – Arena Amazônia. Progress: reasonable. Percentage completed: 21%.
  • Recife – Arena Pernambuco. Progress: reasonable. Percentage completed: 14%.
  • Porto Alegre – Beira-Rio. Progress: worrying. Percentage completed: 10-15%.
  • Natal – Arena das Dunas. Progress: alarming. Percentage completed: 6%.
  • Curitiba – Arena da Baixada. Progress: alarming. Percentage completed: 0%.
